Biographical data, major works
This compilation concentrates on my musical work, but includes the most important biographical information, too. I have also omitted the occasional contributions for the sake of clarity.I was born in 1964 in Budapest.

Completion of the literature-drama section of the Madách Imre Gimnázium (high school in Budapest).
1979–1981
A rock band called Lajosok. The members are Torma Ferenc (bass guitar), Papp Tibor Zoltán (keyboards) and Nyerges Zsolt (drums). Lyricist: Görgényi Tamás. I sang and played guitar

Continuation of piano studies.
The first significant piano piece, entitled Black mood.
1982
Graduated from the Madách Imre Gimnázium, successfully entered the Béla Bartók Conservatory, Budapest as well as the ELTE Teacher Training College for history and Hungarian language.

Inter Arma, a progressive rock band. My bandmates were Baross Gábor (drums) and Máté Sándor (bass guitar), I played piano
1983–1987
Conservatory composition course under the direction of Kocsár Miklós.

I studied history and Hungarian language at ELTE for two and a half years, then I decided to study music and quit ELTE.
1985–1988
Music collaboration in the Tanulmány Theatre (an independent theatre in Budapest), first with Pelva Gábor and Egervári Gábor, and from 1987 on also with Pejtsik Péter.
1985–1986
Második Vonal, art-rock, later jazz band. Its members are: Baross Gábor (drums), Torma Ferenc (bass), Lugosi Gábor (lead guitar), Egervári Gábor (flute), Rókusfalvy Pál (trombone) and Tóth Péter (cornet). I played keyboards.

Osamu Ieda and his family gave me with an excellent, modern piano as a gift. This instrument opened up new possibilities in piano studying and composing for me.
Summer 1990
Father Varga László, parish priest of Somogysámson (now bishop of Kaposvár) converts me in Somogysámson. From then on, I am a practicing Catholic.

From autumn onwards, music becomes a source of livelihood (composing, concerts).
1992–1996

Baross Gábor gave me a Korg Trinity Plus synth as a gift. This instrument has had a huge influence on the rest of my composing career: with the exception of works for piano and piano quintet, I compose most of my pieces on it.

A series of performances at the RS9 Theatre, exploring the theme of popular music. A continuation of the series, entitled 20th century masterpieces, these performances featured in-depth analyses of the works of rock legends (ELP, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Genesis, Gentle Giant, etc.).
2004–2010
Organising a string quartet under the name of Kairosz, then performing and releasing CDs under the name Vedres Csaba and the Kairosz quartet. After initial electronic experiments, Kairosz finds its true identity in the classical piano quintet sound.
2005
Composition and premiere of Requiem (for baritone soloist, mixed choir, organ and two violins) in the St. Emeric church in Kaposvár.

By the invitation of Dr. Heidl György, giving courses at the Department of Aesthetics and Philology of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pécs. Three courses: Aesthetics of popular music, Aesthetics and music theory sytems in the 20th century, and Ideology and aesthetics in contemporary popular music.

Preparing a book Mi az, hogy könnyűzene?! (What is popular music?!), published by the Hungarian publisher Kairosz
The CD Blessed time by Kairosz is released.
Chick Corea arrangements for piano quintet
2006–
Meeting the Villő vocal ensemble, followed by the release of a CD Hungarian sacred folk songs. In May, a joint guest performance in Rome. The collaboration continues to this day.
